It provides a substantial 4 point security fixing compared with the single point ‘Kensington’ security slot offered by the TFT manufacturers. Most TFT flat screens are fitted with four threaded inserts at the rear that can be used for fixing monitor brackets. The SENTRY system utilises these threaded inserts. By adding an ‘Expansion Slot Bracket’ to the computer, it is possible to secure both items with the 9mm diameter heavy duty steel cable. The cable can be fixed via the worktop or simply looped around a desk leg or an immovable object such as a radiator.
